40 percent of applicants to Eastern Virginia Career College were admitted for fall 2018

At Eastern Virginia Career College, 64 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 87 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The two-year private for-profit institution in Fredericksburg enrolled 235 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 67.2 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

100 percent of undergraduates are residents of Virginia.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (52 percent) and Black or African American (34 percent).

The school admitted 40 percent of the 270 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 29 percent enrolled.
