Cost of college went up for all students at Virginia Baptist College

Tuition and fees rose 2.1 percent for 2018-19 at Virginia Baptist College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Virginia students paid $5,800 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $120 more than the $5,680 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 76 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 19 students received grants or scholarships totaling $84,670 and 10 students took out student loans totaling more than $37,000.

Including all undergraduates (210), 98 students used grants or scholarships totaling $329,623, and 60 students took out $321,462 in federal student loans.
