This year’s general election takes place on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, and there will be changes for some voters in Stafford County. The growth in population and redistricting required the creation of 10 new polling locations as well as a whole new congressional district. New cards will be mailed out to voters during the third week of September with any changes. As early voting begins Friday, September 23, 2022, this is a good time for voters to confirm their polling locations.
New voter cards will identify updated district information and polling location information. In the interim, voters may access district and polling location on the Voter Registration page on Stafford’s website at www.staffordcountyva.gov/voter-registration. Questions? Contact the Voter Registrar’s Office at (540) 658-4000.
Once early voting begins, an absentee ballot drop box will be available at the Registrar’s Office during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. from September 23, 2022, through November 7, 2022, and on November 8, 2022, until 7:00 p.m. It will also be available on October 29, 2022, and November 5, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. There will be an absentee ballot drop box available at every polling location on Election Day, November 8, 2022.
