Office of Stafford County Sheriff issued the following announcement on Oct. 29
DUI
Courthouse Road & Liberty Knolls Drive, 10/28, 4:25 p.m. Deputy E.E. West responded for a report of a drunk driver. The vehicle was found stopped in the area. The driver, Cindy Oatman, 34, of Stafford, smelled of alcoholic beverages and had slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered and Oatman was arrested. She was charged with driving under the influence-2nd offense within 10 years. Oatman was held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
LARCENY
2757 Jefferson Davis Highway, Virginia ABC, 10/28, 4:51 p.m. The store manager reported a suspect concealed a bottle of liquor in a bag and left the store without paying. The suspect is a male wearing a cross body bag who left the area in a gray Hyundai Elantra.
Cynthias Place, 10/28, 7:09 a.m. The victim left her backpack on the sidewalk between 5:50 p.m. and 7 p.m. Upon returning to the backpack, her Chromebook was discovered stolen.
