A speeding driver in South Stafford was arrested for numerous charges yesterday after a stolen gun was found during a traffic stop.
On October 28th at approximately 11:00 p.m. Sergeant B.U. Demirci stopped a speeder in the 700 block of Cambridge Street. The driver was identified as Dontorius Pirtle, 30, of Federal Way, Washington.
Deputy X.D. Bates responded to assist and located a suspected controlled substance in the vehicle. Additionally, a stolen handgun was found in the vehicle.
Pirtle was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, receiving a stolen firearm, possession of a controlled substance with a firearm and carrying a concealed weapon. He was held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
