Smart GasBuddies are great at spotting deals. It’s in their DNA. There’s a good chance they’ve signed up for loyalty and rewards programs of every kind. From pizza punch cards to activating free chips and guac—they know it just makes sense to stretch dollars as far as they can go.

So, when gas prices skyrocketed, consumers who had maybe one gas station rewards program found themselves signing up for a second, and even a third. If you pump fuel at gas stations based on the cheapest price (which you can find in the GasBuddy app), the brand can vary. So having a rewards program for each of those stations makes perfect … cents.

But what happens at the pump? If you’re juggling multiple rewards apps every time you need gas, something’s going to give. Accessing your rewards needs to be convenient without sacrificing deals.

That’s where GasBuddy comes in!

GasBuddy now allows users to connect all their gas station rewards programs in the GasBuddy app through Loyalty Connect. Think of it as a virtual key ring that holds all your gas station rewards. Brilliant, right?

PILOT AND FLYING J TRAVEL CENTERS–THE FIRST TO CONNECT

Pilot Flying J is the first fuel brand to partner with GasBuddy for this program. Pilot Flying J guests can now enjoy ease and convenience at the pump when they connect their PFJ myRewards Plus account to the GasBuddy app. If you’re not a myRewards Plus member yet, you can sign up through GasBuddy to save 10¢ on every gallon of gas through December 31, 2022!*

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS:

1. Visit your profile in the GasBuddy app.
2. Select Savings Settings > Connect Rewards Accounts > Pilot Flying J myRewards Plus and complete the setup.
3. Once connected, head to the Find Gas tab. The marked-down street price is your new discounted gas price for Pilot and Flying J travel centers. You won’t have to launch another app to access your rewards.
4. At the pump, open the GasBuddy app to scan your myRewards Plus barcode (or enter your 14-digit reward number or phone number) to receive your discount.*

While Pilot and Flying J travel centers are the first to get connected, GasBuddy will soon be rolling out this feature to other retailers. Follow us on social media and check your email for announcements!

STACK REWARDS AND SAVE

At GasBuddy, we encourage you to stack rewards. Stacking means combining everything in your gas-saving arsenal to pay the lowest price possible at the pump. Check your emails from us—we often remind you of all the ways you can save, and stacking is our favorite. An example of stacking would be to fill up using a station’s rewards program (which usually carries cents-off per gallon) and pay for it with a GasBuddy payment card (which gives you additional cents off per gallon just for using it), but not before activating a station deal in the GasBuddy app. Deal Alerts can save you as much as 25¢/gal. It all adds up to real money saved.
