Deputies worked throughout the weekend to recover a stolen handgun and three juveniles are now charged with offenses related to the theft.
On October 1st Deputy F.C. O’Neill responded to a report of a stolen Tisas 9mm handgun from an apartment in England Run. Detectives H.D. Young and J.A. Hinson assisted in the investigation and the firearm was recovered on October 2nd.
As a result of the investigation, a 13-year-old has been charged with larceny of a firearm. A 16-year-old and 17-year-old have each been charged with possession of a stolen firearm. All three juveniles were placed in the Juvenile Detention Center.
This is an ongoing investigation and involves juvenile offenders so we are unable to release further information at this time.
