Part of the improvements requires relocating utilities, including a main water supply line that runs beneath US Route 1 south of the Route 639 intersection. VDOT crews are scheduled to perform this work on the night of May 16, 2022. As a result, the water supply will be disrupted between 9:00 p.m. on May 16th through 7:00 a.m. May 17th. VDOT estimates the project to take approximately ten hours. The actual completion time may vary.
All Caroline County Public Utilities water customers north and along Route 639 and west of US Route 1 will be impacted. Neither the Lake Land’Or nor the Campbell’s Creek communities are connected to the County’s water system. Therefore, residents of these developments will not be affected.
Please make necessary preparations, including having bottled or other means of potable water for drinking and cooking purposes on hand.
Please see the accompanying brochure on “How to Prepare for Planned Water Outages”.
