The King George County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing pursuant to Va. Code Section 15.2-1427(F) to receive comment regarding proposed amendments to the King George County Code Chapter 14, Article IX (Cigarette Tax Ordinance) to provide additional terms for forfeiture process and clarifications of matters including presumption as to unstamped cartons, on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at 6:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as may be possible, in the Revercomb Board Room, 10459 Courthouse Drive, King George, Virginia 22485. Requests for additional information can be made by contacting the County Administrator’s Office during normal business hours at (540) 775-9181.
The general public will be afforded both in-person and remote/electronic access to this meeting. The County will facilitate observance of CDC guidelines regarding social distancing, wearing of face coverings and other safety measures.
A copy of the proposed Ordinance is available for review in the County Administrator’s Office and will also be made available in the meeting agenda packet available at https://www.kinggeorgecountyva.gov/.
