Stafford County Sheriff's Office issued the following announcement on Feb. 3
An intoxicated driver was arrested last night after a crash in a North Stafford neighborhood.
On February 2nd at 9:35 Deputy R.B. Brooks responded to Susan Street in Foxwood Village for an auto accident. He arrived to find a Kia Forte and Toyota Sienna with significant front end damage to both vehicles.
The driver of the Kia was identified as Sebastian Hernandez-Ramos, 21, of Stafford. Hernandez-Ramos and the occupants of the van were checked by rescue and declined transport to the hospital.
Hernandez-Ramos smelled of an alcoholic beverage and field sobriety tests were offered. Although Hernandez-Ramos claimed the van hit him, the investigation revealed the van was parked when the accident occurred. Hernandez-Ramos was charged with DUI and no driver’s license. He was held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $1,500 secure bond.
If you plan to drink, have a sober designated driver.
