Notice of Public Hearing

County of King George issued the following announcement on Jan. 26

The King George County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing pursuant to Va. Code Section 24.2-306(A), to receive input regarding proposed polling place changes on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at 6:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as may be possible, in the Revercomb Board Room, 10459 Courthouse Drive, King George, Virginia 22485.  It is proposed to move the Dahlgren Precinct from Potomac Elementary to the University of Mary Washington, Dahlgren campus, and to adjust the boundary line between the Passapatanzy and Courthouse precincts to reflect the proposed local redistricting plan changes.  Maps and other information concerning redistricting plan Option 1 is available at https://redistricting-2021-king-george.hub.arcgis.com/, and a more complete description of polling place changes and proposed ordinance will be made available in the meeting agenda packet available at https://www.kinggeorgecountyva.gov/.  Requests for additional information may be directed to the County Administrator’s Office during normal business hours at 540-775-9181.  

The general public will be afforded both in-person and remote/electronic access to this meeting. The County will facilitate observance of CDC guidelines regarding social distancing, wearing of face coverings and other safety measures.
