Fredericksburg Police Department issued the following announcement on Jan. 20
Yesterday, January 19th, 2022, the Fredericksburg Police Department arrested two men after they held a female at gunpoint inside an apartment, forced her to take drugs, and raped her. The victim managed to escape the apartment the next day and report the incident. She was treated at a nearby hospital for minor injuries. Both suspects know the victim.
Donte Jackson, 28, of Spotsylvania was arrested on the following charges:
• Attempted Murder
• Rape
• Use or Display of a Firearm in the commission of a felony
Brandon Armstead, 32, of Fredericksburg was arrested on the following charge:
• Rape, principle in the second degree
Jackson and Armstead remain incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
The incident occurred in an apartment located in the 800 block of Forest Village.
The investigations is still active, further information will not be released at this time.
