Stafford County Sheriff's Office issued the following announcement on Jan. 13
LARCENY
217 Garrisonville Road, Walmart, 1/12, 1:19 p.m. Deputy J.D. Hurt responded for a report of a theft. The loss prevention associate reported an employee, Nathaniel Campbell, 18, of Stafford, had concealed electronics merchandise on three separate occasions and left the store without paying for the items. Campbell was located on scene and arrested for embezzlement. He was released on his own recognizance.
736 Warrenton Road, China Wong, 1/12, 2:58 p.m. The victim left his Toyota Camry unlocked, with the keys inside, while he went into the business to pick up an order. Upon returning, he discovered the vehicle was stolen. The vehicle was later recovered in the City of Fredericksburg.
FRAUD
605 Warrenton Road, Americas Best Value Inn, 1/12, 12:43 p.m. A cab driver reported picking up the male suspect from the motel and driving him to Fredericksburg. They then returned to the motel where the suspect exited the cab without paying the fare. Deputies canvassed the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.
