(UPDATE) Winter Storm Assistance and Sheltering, Storm Update

County of Stafford issued the following announcement on Jan. 7

The National Weather Service is calling for one to three inches of snow overnight. Stafford still has several homes without power. If you require winter storm assistance, sheltering is available at Stafford High School at 63 Stafford Indians Lane, Fredericksburg, VA 22405. If you cannot drive yourself, please call 540-658-4400 for assistance. Please be prepared to provide a name, phone number and address. If it is an emergency, please call 911. We have also requested support from the National Guard, and units from public safety are ready to provide immediate assistance.

The decision has been made to open County Government offices two hours late (10:00 am), including the Courts (General District, Circuit), on Friday, January 7, 2022. JDR will close and Circuit and General District Courts will start at 11:00 am. The Regional Landfill will have a delayed opening at 9:00 am.
