City of Fredericksburg issued the following announcement on Nov. 23
Wishing everyone a happy Thanksgiving! City of Fredericksburg Government offices will be closing at 12:00pm on Wednesday, November 24th and will remain closed on Thursday and Friday, November 25 and 26 in celebration of the Thanksgiving holiday.
Additional city service updates:
Trash and recycling collection will occur as usual on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. The Belman Rd Recycling Center and the Stafford Landfill will be closed Thursday. Both locations will be open normal hours Friday 8am-4:30pm, Saturday 9am-3pm.
Fred Transit will provide regular bus service on Wednesday, November 24th and will be closed with no service on Thursday and Friday, November 25 and 26.
The Fredericksburg Visitor Center will be closing at 12pm on Wednesday, November 24th and will remain closed on Thursday. The visitor center will be open Friday through Sunday, November 26-28 at 10am-4pm each day.
