Fredericksburg Police Department issued the following announcement on Nov. 19
On Tuesday, November 16th at 2:53 p.m., patrol officers responded to James Monroe High School for an assault and battery in progress involving several students. No person involved in the fight needed medical treatment. Through the investigation and with the assistance of school officials, officers identified the eight students involved in the fight. Charges have been obtained for all parties involved, four of which are adult students and four are juveniles. Warrants will be served over the next few days.
James Monroe High School is located at 2300 Washington Avenue
