Fredericksburg Police Department issued the following announcement on Aug. 24
The Fredericksburg Police Department is actively investigating a shooting late last night in the 1000 block of Wicklow Drive. At approximately 11:30 p.m., a caller reported an unknown person fired multiple shots into her apartment. Patrol officers arrived at the apartment, located two victims with gunshot wounds, and immediately provided first aid to both victims. Rescue arrived shortly after and transported the victims to a nearby hospital. A detective responded to the incident to further the investigation. A short time later, Fredericksburg Police learned a third gunshot victim was at a hospital in northern Virginia. All three victims are being treated for nonlife-threatening injuries.
