2021 First-Half Property Taxes Due This Friday, June 25thFor 2021, the first-half property tax bills are due this Friday, June 25th, 2021.

The County Office Building is now open to the public, Monday-Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm. However, we encourage folks to take advantage of one of the many other options below:

Ways to Pay:

• Pay online. Visit www.albemarlecountytaxes.org to pay using a credit card, electronic check, or PayPal. No fee for electronic checks.
• Pay by mail. Instructions for payments by check are attached to your bill. If choosing to pay by mail, please be aware that there might be unexpected delivery delays from the post office. Tax payments postmarked by June 25, 2021 will be considered on-time. 
• Pay by phone. Call 1-866-820-5450 to pay using a credit card.
• Pay at the County Office Building at 401 McIntire Road using the 24/7 automated payment kiosk using check, cash, or card.
• Drop off. Use the drop boxes located in the parking lot at either County Office Building (401 McIntire Road or 1600 Fifth Street Extended). No cash accepted in drop boxes.
• Pay In Person, Monday – Friday, 8 am – 4:30 pm, at the County Office Building at 401 McIntire Road. 

There is a 2.5% convenience fee for credit/debit cards. In addition, online debit/credit card payments carry an additional $0.30 convenience fee.

Please contact the Finance & Budget Department at (434) 296-5851 or albemarlecountyfinance@albemarle.org before the deadline if you: 

• Have not received your bill(s) (select option 4)
• Have questions about your bill(s) (select option 4)
• Need to add a vehicle, trailer, boat or airplane located in Albemarle County that is not listed on your bill (select option 3)

To avoid incurring a late payment penalty, payments must be made by June 25, 2021.
