Stafford County ranked fourth in Virginia for resident earnings in 2018

Stafford County ranked fourth among counties in Virginia by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of Stafford County residents was $44,680 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 46,328 households with a population of 144,012.

The county with the highest median resident income in the state was Arlington County with $67,089 per year after adjusting for inflation – $22,409 more than Stafford County. It had 104,716 households with a population of 231,803.

The county with the lowest median resident income in the state was Lee County with $17,136 per year after adjusting for inflation – $27,544 less than Stafford County. It had 9,149 households with a population of 24,134.
