Stafford County Public Schools has announced the Polar Pals Fun Run, scheduled for January 24, 2026. The event invites students, families, and community members to participate in a series of runs designed to promote health and community engagement.

According to Stafford County Public Schools, the Polar Pals Fun Run will take place at 550 Courthouse Road in Stafford, Virginia. The schedule includes a 1/2 mile run at noon, followed by a 1-mile run at 12:10 p.m., and a 5K race at 12:30 p.m. The event is open to participants of all ages.

The course is described as scenic and family-friendly, catering to various ability levels. Attendees can enjoy music, games, and other entertainment both before and after the runs. The event aims to foster community connections by bringing together runners, families, and friends in celebration of health and wellness. Participants are encouraged to dress appropriately for varying weather conditions and are welcome to wear festive “Polar Pals” attire.

Stafford County Public Schools outlines that awards will include swag bags for participants in the shorter races, a school challenge with a photo shoot prize for the school with the most runners, and a giant Polar Pal bear trophy. Additionally, prizes will be awarded to the fastest male and female runners in the 5K race across seven age groups ranging from under 10 to over 60 years old. Registration is free but must be completed online; participants should arrive 30 minutes early for check-in.

The school division serves approximately 32,185 students across its educational institutions within a large geographical area. It operates numerous elementary, middle, high schools, alternative education programs, public day school programs, and early childhood education programs. Led by Superintendent Daniel W.
